The Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojana (PKVY) is an initiative of the Government of India, implemented across Odisha to promote organic farming through traditional knowledge and ecological practices. PKVY is farmer-centric and community-driven, encouraging the formation of organic farming clusters, capacity building, and Participatory Guarantee System (PGS) certification to build trust and traceability in the organic supply chain.
At Kanak Bioscience and Research Pvt. Ltd., we see the PKVY scheme not just as a project, but as a mission that aligns perfectly with our core philosophy — “Farming with Nature.” Under the aegis of the Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, GoI; PKVY has provided us a platform to bring back age-old organic farming traditions while integrating modern certification, training, and marketing support for India’s small and marginal farmers. This scheme is reaching 4176 farmers, covering an area of 4500 acres in the districts of Mayurbhanj, Malkangiri & Gajapati.
