About Company

At Kanak Bioscience and Research Pvt. Ltd. (KBR), we believe that true prosperity begins beneath our feet — in living soil, in the calloused hands of farmers, and in the quiet strength of nature. What started as a vision in the heartlands of Odisha has grown into a movement rooted in tradition and nurtured by innovation.

Born from grassroots experience and a deep love for the land, KBR was founded to reimagine the future of farming — one where organic methods are not just alternatives, but the golden standards. A future where ancient wisdom meets modern technology, where fields flourish, and farming becomes a source of pride, profit, and purpose.

Over the last 14 years, we’ve built trust with farmers, empowered communities, and helped the world experience the purity of organic India. From supplying of necessary inputs, cultivation, training organic certification, processing, value addition to market linkage and export, KBR stands as a bridge between rural roots and global reach — transforming not just how food is grown, but how it is valued and shared.

Origin of KBR

What began as a small initiative at one district of Odisha to support tribal and marginal farmers has now grown into a movement. Today, KBR stands as an empaneled Support Agency with the Government of India, a State-Level Support Agency with Directorate of Agriculture and Food Production, DA & FE(O), Government of Odisha, and a recognized Social Enabler under Odisha Forestry Sector Development Society, Government of Odisha.

We work hand-in-hand with farmers, women’s Self-Help Groups, Farmer Producer organization (FPOs), Community Based Organizations (CBOs), and Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) to deliver organic input solutions, organic certification support, market access with export linkages, and comprehensive end-to-end organic consultancy services— all with a vision: to make organic farming viable, dignified, and rewarding.
