Kanak Bioscience and Research Pvt. Ltd. is the State Level Support Agency (SLSA), dedicated to reviving and promoting the cultivation of Odisha’s indigenous paddy varieties. Rooted in the principles of sustainability, climate resilience, and organic farming, the project seeks to bring back the forgotten legacy of indigenous rice that once flourished across the region.

Through this initiative, we aims to conserve biodiversity, restore soil health, and empower farming communities with practices that are not only environmentally friendly but also economically rewarding.

This project places special emphasis on both aromatic and non-aromatic indigenous rice varieties that have unique cultural, nutritional, and market value—locally and globally.

The main objectives of this program is to integrate scientific methods with age-old wisdom, the project ensures high-quality organic production while minimizing ecological footprints. Certified organic cultivation, capacity-building training, market linkage facilitation, and support for export potential form the backbone of this initiative.
